Deadline for one year, until 22 May 2018 , to meet the requirements of RIPCI .
The new regulation fire protection installations (RIPCI) approved by Royal Decree 513/2017 of 22 May. It includes important new features for companies in the sector.
One of them he found in the requirements for installer company, as indicated in the following articles of RIPCI :
Article 10. Requirements for installation companies.

e) Have a certificate of quality management system implemented quality issued by an accredited certification according to the procedures laid down in Regulation Infrastructure for Industrial Quality and Safety, approved by Royal Decree 2200/1995, of 28 December. The scope of the certificate shall include explicitly the design, if appropriate, and installation of each and every one of the equipment or systems for which the rating is sought.
Article 15. Requirements for maintenance companies.

f) Have a certificate of quality management system implemented quality issued by an accredited certification according to the procedures laid down in Regulation Infrastructure for Industrial Quality and Safety, approved by Royal Decree 2200/1995, of 28 December. The scope of the certificate shall include explicitly maintaining each and every one of the equipment or systems for which the rating is sought ….
To meet this requirement the installation companies and / or maintainers Fire Protection Systems shall:
- Have a certificate of ISO 9001 , issued by an accredited certification body.
- The scope of the quality system should cover the installation activity (including design if applicable) and / or maintaining all equipment or protective systems that the company wants to offer the service.
To meet the requirements of RIPCI , companies have a maximum period of 1 year, according to the regulations:
Third transitory provision. Application of this Regulation to installation and maintenance companies already authorized.
The installation and maintenance companies exercising their activity in accordance with the conditions and requirements of Royal Decree 1942/1993, of November 5 and the Order of the Ministry of Industry and Energy of 16 April 1998 have a maximum term one year after the entry into force of this Regulation to adapt to the provisions of this Regulation.
